Portland Oregon Skyline

This beautiful lake in South Central Oregon has been made famous for being one of the deepest lakes in the world, which gives cause to it's second claim to fame; it's intense deep blue color. The view of the lake itself is worthy of a visit, but there is so much else to do in the National Park. Visitors come to Crater Lake year-round. Skiing and snowboarding dominate in the winter, and hiking, camping, sightseeing and fishing abound in the summer season. You don't want to miss Crater Lake- if only to view the 6 mile wide caldera which was created by the eruption and collapse of Mt. Mazama almost 7,700 years ago.

Crater Lake is located 77 miles of Medford, OR just off of Route 62. Driving Directions to Crater Lake.
